Dinky Toys 182; Porsche 356a

At one time I didn't like the look of the early Porsches, but I think I'm warming to them. This is a very pretty little model of the Porsche 356A from the late 50s. The Porsche 356 though was in production from 1948 to 1965 with many modifications on the way, when it was finally replaced by the 911.

The Dinky was not quite so long lived running from 1958 to 1966. All releases have windows, later cars have spun hubs, earlier cars have painted hubs. Over a long production life there were many variations in colour, boxes and baseplate style.

It has now been included in the Atlas Editions range of re-released Dinky Toys.
