Dinky Toys 27b/320; Halesowen Harvest Trailer

The Halesowen Harvest Trailer stayed in the range from 1949 to 1960, most of them are brown with red racks & drawbar, there are some releases in red with yellow racks. For most of the production run the wheels were diecast metal, some of the last releases had red plastic wheels with rubber tyres. As is usual with a popular toy and a long production run, values are very low. The model number was changed from 27b to 320 in 1954, early releases were sold from trays of three pieces, after renumbering they were individually boxed.

As the racks are detachable you can never be sure they left the factory together with the trailer - as in the pictures below, I cannot be sure that these are all different versions or just that there has been some mixing and matching.
