Aston Martin DB3S

Dinky Cars England

The DB3S was introduced in 1953 and it proved significantly more successful on the track than the Aston Martin DB3. Although the DB3S failed at Le Mans they went on to score a 1-2 at the Tourist Trophy at Dundrod in the 6th round of the inaugural World Sports Car Championship to help Astons to 3rd in the championship. As well there was a win in the non championship Goodwood 9 Hours.

It was an English Dinky initially available in competition mode under number 110  from 1956 to 1959 and as a road car under number 104 from 1957 to 1960. Dinky Toys France made a competition version from 1960-61 in green with various racing numbers. Most of the ones you will see are Norev reboots from the Atlas Editions range, and very good they are too.
