Matchbox Major Pack M-7; Ford Thames Trader Jennings Cattle Truck

There is a photograph of me aged four, taken in 1960, posed with the garage my father made for me and I have one of these cattle trucks in my hand. I remember it very distinctly and how much I liked it.

Major Pack 7 is a model of the Ford Thames Trader artic tractor with a Jennings Cattle Trailer. The colour scheme is generally variations on a red tractor with a tan/brown trailer. The loading ramp can be red to match the cab or brown to match the trailer. There is a version known with a metallic blue tractor and copper coloured trailer, but these are very scarce and consequently very expensive. These are popular models and will usually be well priced in all versions. The fine tread examples with either black or grey wheels will get a good premium.

The model was added to the catalogue in 1960 and deleted in 1966.
