The Accessory packs and Major Packs were early moves to expand on the Lesney core 1-75 range by going for toys both to add play value and to move into bigger, more expensive products. These are the precursors of the King Size range and a few of the Major Packs lived on in the early Matchbox King Size series, namely the Guy Warrior Car Transporter, Racing Car Transporter and the Fruehauf Hopper Train.

The first ones were released in 1957 and they continued into the mid 1960s
