BMW produced the 507 2-seater sports car to enhance their prestige as suppliers of performance-orientated quality cars. This 2-seater sports car was developed from the first German V8 car the BMW 501. Having a capacity of 3108cc the engine developed 150bhp at 5000 rpm and drove through a four speed gearbox giving, according to axle ratio, a maximum speed of between 118-137 mph. From an already limited production less than 100 cars are known to have survived today. This model is a special edition produced as part of a world-wide issue of 60,000 units. Scale 1:38

The BMW heritage from this car is very visible today in their modern sports cars, particularly the Z8 roadster. The MOY limited edition model described above was always blue with a black hood, values for this version are not great. There have been some subsequent releases which seem to be rare and get good prices.
