Box notes: "A logical follow up to the pre-war TA & TB models, the TC
had a 4 cylinder 1250 cc engine with a four speed gearbox. Many were
bought by US servicemen and shipped back to the United States, this
little vehicle was responsible for the sports car boom in post-war
America.
It's a very smart model of the immediately post-war MG. As I type this
article I can report that I was looking at a 1:1 MG TC - and a TD too,
both for sale in a used car showroom here in Abingdon where I live and
where the cars
were made. They truly are tiny, having a huge steering wheel too with
about 4" between the wheel & the seat. No good for me then.
Matchbox made this car between 1978 and 1984 in green, cream over brown
mudguards, red or blue. The hood is shades of beige & tan and the
interior can vary across a range of colours. No versions are classed as
rare and all of them are valued at the same extremely modest rate. |
