With an engine capacity of 8,586cc this version of the 1929 Mercedes-Benz L5 truck had an extra 15 horsepower taking it to 85 brake horsepower. The wheelbase was 201" (5,100mm), the unladen chassis weight was 4 tons (4,060kg) and carrying capacity was 6 tons (6,100kg).
This Mercedes truck was added to the range in 1988 and is post-Lesney, being a Matchbox International release, The Stuttgarter Hofbrau version took the Y-6/5 slot and Howaldtswerke took Y-41/1 but the remaining trucks and fire engines are from the Matchbox Collectibles range using different numbering schemes, several of which are shown below.
