Models of Yesteryear Y-23/2; 1930 AC Mack Tanker |

Box notes: "Designed in 1914, the thoroughly tested Mack was in full production by January 1916. Used by the Allies during World War 1 it lived up to its nickname the 'Bull Dog Mack' given by the British when they saw its appearance and rugged qualities. Further development after the war enabled Mack to fully share in satisfying the demand for lorries as the US. Government pushed ahead with its road building programme. The 1930 Mack had a 4 cylinder 7.7 lItre engine, a three-speed gear box and final drive by rear chains." My thoughts are these - did Renault not realise that the Americans had pinched their design? That bell-shaped bonnet, the radiator as part of the firewall, chain drive - this is a scaled-up Renault car turned into a wagon. This 1985 release from Models of Yesteryear is found in Conoco and Texaco liveries, in both cases the lorries are red, the Conoco tank can be red or white, the Texaco tank is red. Neither version is particularly rare or attracts a premium.
