These are the box notes: "This attractive model is based on the 1914 Stutz type 4E Roadster. It had a 4 cylinder side-valve engine of 36.1 horsepower and the rear wheels were driven by a shaft. The three speed gearbox was mounted in the rear axle. The Stutz was to become a symbol of style & performance in the USA" The 1914 Stutz was added to the MOY range in 1969 remaining in production through to 1973. Most of them are dark metallic red, some are classified as simply 'metallic red, before production shifted to metallic blue and then blue gloss. Most of the cars you will see are all-over dark metallic red with green seats and radiator insert and a smooth tan roof. these are not very highly valued. There are however a raft of variants that are worth looking for. They are in
order of desirability: Metallic red with a black roof, metallic blue,
dark metallic red with a brass-coloured fuel tank, blue gloss, dark
metallic red with a textured roof and/or a red radiator insert. See-
told you there were lots to look for. |
