The 6 cylinder 7046cc engine was so quiet it was likened to a silent sewing machine, and so smooth a penny could be balanced on the radiator. It could travel at 60mph and used a gallon of petrol every 20 miles.

The Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost; 40/50 to give it the official name was made by Rolls from 1906 to 1926, this MOY is a 1912 Landau, something like the car Ian Fleming had in mind for Goldfinger, maybe an earlier model though. Matchbox had it in the range from 1968 to 1970 and it is in 1:48 scale. The body colour is silver, gold or yellow. Most of them are easy to find and valued fairly lowly. Some however are rare and valuable; particularly silver bodywork  without the ribs on the rear half of the roof and yellow seats or gold with dark green seats or yellow with a red chassis, all of these are really worth tracking down.
