| The Holden Pick-up (60d) was
released in 1977 under Lesney and remained in the range right up to the
bankruptcy in 1983. During this time it always had a pair of plastic
dirt bikes in the back. It was originally metallic red then gloss red,
metallic blue and finally cream. The bikes and interiors also vary in
colour. After Lesney it was reborn as Ruff Trek and its payload became
either a pair of oversize spare wheels or a big crate. It also gained a
roll bar, oversize wheels, bull bars and side pipes. The two pictured
below are Ruff Treks from the post-Lesney era. Of the original Holden Ute models the ones to look out for are red with a red interior, green bikes and sun tampos, also harder to find are the metallic blue version or cream with red bikes. Scroll down for more.................. |
