Rolls-Royce Phantom V - 44

Both Matchbox and Dinky seemed obsessed with Rolls-Royce. There was always one or more in the range. Here we have the Phantom V, not a car to drive so much as be driven in. You will see it in a range of shades of silvery metallic mauve ranging from outright silver to a darkish shade of metallic mauve. Wheels can be grey, silver or black and the boot opens.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom V, 44b, was added to the range in 1964 and remained there until it was deleted in 1967. Some references put a premium on the pale shades of mauve, but as all four of mine are this colour I tend to agree with those who do not. Generally it's best to look out for silver or grey wheels on any colour of bodywork.
