Bedford Removal Van - 17a

The first release of the Bedford Luton body removal van (17a) is very similar to the second release, 17b. The 17a version is light blue, maroon or green, dark or light, the second version, 17b, is dark or light green. The way to tell them apart is that 17a has a domed roof and the grille extends down to the front bumper. The second version has a flatter roof and a gap between the grille and the bumper.

The ones to look out for are 17a in blue or maroon and the light green ones with domed axles. With 17b keep your eyes open for a dark green one with grey plastic wheels and the lettering on the decals outlined in black.

Maroon, gold trim, crimped axles   Light green, crimped axles
