| Eight legger Leyland Petrol Tanker
from the 1960s. A lot of these toy lorries have a weak spot behind the
cab, this regular wheels one appears to be bent a little, it is also missing its decals.
The Leyland Tanker 32c was released in 1968 as a regular wheels model
and was converted to Superfast in 1970. It remained in the range until
1973. In both wheel type variations they tend to have green cabs and BP
decals or blue cabs and Aral decals.
In the regular wheels version look
out for the Aral version which is worth slightly more with a white
plastic grille and base than with silver although both are much harder
to find than the green BP as below. In the Superfast version Aral is
rarer than BP but best of all is NAMC labels on a purple cab or rarer
still on a red cab. |
