Ford Corsair - 45b

I do like the Corsair, it was a really nice looking car, the 'chinless' look being inspired by the American Thunderbird of the time. It stood out in the Ford range as something a bit different, with its V4 engine and sophisticated lines. It was eventually killed off because it was in competition with the Cortina, commercially sound thinking but sad that such a nice looking car should go. This should have a roof rack with a boat on it.

The Corsair (45b) was introduced in 1965 and was deleted at the time of the introduction of Superfast wheels in 1970 so there was no transitional model at number 45 in the range. They are all the creamy green colour and most have red interiors and black plastic wheels.

The ones to look out for have white interiors and these can be quite valuable being pre-production prototypes. From the production run the harder to find ones are the grey wheels versions.

Yellow/green, red seats, unpainted base, black plastic wheels
