Ford Zephyr - 162

Were these spoilers do you think? In 1956 Corgi appeared and in their opening range was a Ford Consul, here we have Dinky bringing out the Zephyr - a more luxurious version of the same car. The same thing happened with the Vauxhall Velox and Cresta. Corgi brought out the base model and Dinky came back with the 'de-luxe' version. In the case of the Vauxhall Dinky had the face-lifted version with the larger rear window. Dinky managed two-tone paint, but Corgi was the 'One with windows'.

Another comparison with the Vauxhall is that my models of both this and the Cresta have exactly the same bent front axle. I feel a Steve Flowers order coming on...
