Dinky were very good at modelling the classic 1960's British motor
cars. This is a very nicely modelled E-type fixed head coupe. It's a
real shame that it is so battered. The Corgi equivalent is here in red
for comparison. It's hard to say who wins. The Dinky has not worn well.
It has suffered not only from paint loss but the opening bits are very
worn. The engineering and manufacturing standards are far higher on the
Corgi, but the Dinky is more finely modelled. In the end they are both splendid models of a magnificent motor car.
