Mercedes-Benz C111 - 224

Dinky's take on the experimental Mercedes C111 and a much more elegant result than that achieved by Corgi. While Corgi's orange Mazak is lumpen blob this is sleek and beautiful, it does however appear to have forged licence plates as they are shared with every other German car Dinky produced at the time.

The modelling, opening doors and engine cover, interior detail are all very good indeed. I really like this one, such a shame Dinky could not get the Mercedes star the right way up.

The Dinky Mercedes-Benz C111 was produced from 1970 to 1974, it is found in red, metallic red and white none of which seem particularly rare or to demand much of a premium.
