This is the apogee of modelling for Dinky, look at the Vitesse, the Singer Vogue, all the Triumphs, these are finely modelled replicas. While Corgi are pushing engineering excellence Dinky are ploughing their own furrow with fewer features, but such beautiful models. They are only let down by some of the manufacturing standards, the modelling however is truly lovely.

Dinky did score over Corgi here in the choice of cars; Cortinas, 1100s, Victors, these were the cars we knew and saw every day. Corgi cars were a touch more rarefied, no-one I knew had a Ghia 6 litre, but lots of them had a Triumph Herald.
