In the late sixties Dinky began to add features, cars that did things and added detail. By now we had moved from the no windows, no suspension hulks of the fifties to models like the Aston Martin DB6 with opening everything, plated detail, number plates, in fact anything Corgi could do, Dinky could do,

There are some direct comparisons which are worth looking at to spot the differences, there are some fine models in the Dinky range but they rarely got the whole package as right as did Corgi. Too many of these models skimp on interior detail. It wasn't good enough to provide opening doors and then to present a blank plastic casting instead of a detailed dashboard.
