These are actually some quite dramatic photographs (taken this time by my 13 year old son Phil) but it is a pretty dull model - or am I being too censorious? Is it as good as the Big Bedford Mobil tanker? There's a lot more detail in the chassis, but the bodywork is a bit dreary. Is it that the Ford Transcontinental was like a breeze block in real life so that any model would be like one too? I don't know. It's actually nowhere near as bad as most of the rest of the Corgi output at this time and I know that if I'd been presented with one of these as a kid I would have been pretty damn pleased with it.
