| This
is without doubt the biggest item in the collection, it is huge. It is supposed to have electronic sirens and a
rubber bulb attachment to pump water through the roof-mounted cannon.
The castings aren't brilliant, overall it is a bit of a clumsy item, but has
some presence and shows that Corgi were trying to keep up to date by adding
electronics to their engineering.
The Chubb Airport
Crash Truck was produced by Corgi from 1974 to 1980. There are three
versions, one has New York Airport logos, the other two have 'Airport
Fire Brigade'; one has working siren & pump, the other just has the
pump. |
