I had a big Jaguar day the morning this turned up from eBay - according to the sticker on the bonnet this one is 'Jaguar Powered'. On the same day I received in the post a Corgi 208s Jag Mk1 2.4 litre and a Dinky Jag Mk X. Three XK powered motors in one morning's post, deep joy.

Among the sad, poorly modelled items appearing in the Corgi range in the early Seventies this one is both good and fun. The detail on the engine is very good it is very easily recognisable as a Jaguar XK straight six. One suspects bored out a bit beyond 4.2 litres, not sure how you share 4 carbs between six cylinders though. The body is from an Austin 7.

This is a model of a real car which you can find on the internet if you Google Ison Brothers Wild Honey, I like this one.

Corgi made Wild Honey for just two years, 1972/73, and in this one colour, values are not that high, perhaps because the car is from an era when the majority of Corgi output was not that brilliant. This one could really have benefitted from some nicer looking wheels.
