I know it has 'Mazak' stamped on the bottom, but this is a real Corgi. That is it's a quirky British-made sports car that was made by the handful, it has cinema pedigree - not sure how many 10 year old boys actually saw 'A Clockwork Orange' though, its hard to think now of the young Warren Clarke (Dalziel the TV cop) as a psychotic teenager in the Droog uniform of long white underwear, cricket box and bowler hat squashed uncomfortably into this car, hanging out of the roof, while Macolm McDowell drives.

As a true Corgi it has a novel feature - access via a sliding roof. It's just such a shame about those nasty Whizzwheels. I love those red, jewelled tail-lights though. The Corgi was made from 1970 to 1973, colours are metallic gold, maroon or green and values are fairly modest.

This one's a bit bashed up but - show me a dark metallic red Corgi and I'll show you chipped paint - look through these pages and see for yourself, they are all chipped, that must have been really soft, poor quality paint.
