Sharing many of its components with the Pontiac
Firebird, as did the full size cars, this is a good Corgi. In the best Corgi tradition it combines familiar
and expected features with new. The Golden Jacks feature is a current theme in
the range in early 1968 and there are a lot of other features we've come to
expect like a good detailed interior , plating and opening doors with detailed
interior trim. The decal round the front is a bit of a departure and the sliding
headlight covers are very new and fun.
The
car was made from 1968 to 1971 and is found in lime gold metallic, gold
and bronze, all having a black plastic roof and red seats. In 1971 it
was replaced with a Whizzwheels version in dark blue under model number
304.
This is a very good example, not having lost the roof, screen, dashboard, door
trims, like many of these have.
