Jaguar
4.2 E type 2+2, opening doors, bonnet and rear hatch, tipping front seats,
moving rear seat. Classic, splendid, beautiful - what else? The best looking car
ever made in Britain modelled by the best die-cast toymaker at the peak of their
powers - this is the very best of the Jaguar marque and the toy maker too. Corgi
added it to the range in 1968 and replaced it with a simplified item having
fewer features and Whizzwheels in 1970. The car is found in red or metallic blue
and both seem to be valued in the same range. There is an orange version listed
with a black roof which is significantly higher in value. I've never managed to
come across one of these.
I'm
sorry the blue one is so bashed-up, maybe I'll find a better one at a price I'm
prepared to pay one day. These are really beautiful objects and I'm proud to own
them. |
