The original Rover 2000 is a brilliantly modelled object - if
anything this is better. Corgi modelling at its peak. The level of
detail is superb - right down to correct wheel trims on the take-off
wheels. One of my favourites this one. The quality is reflected in the
value too, all versions are well priced. The most commonly found cars are
metallic olive green with red or brown interiors. An olive car with a white
interior gets a premium. In ascending order of value you then get metallic
maroon, followed bywhite and the most sought after of all is vacuum plated gold. There
are actually two cars in the pictures below. I recently acquired a fabulous mint
in box example which is what you see in the main whole car shots, however when I
came to update the site I decided to keep the close-up shots of the other,
slightly less pristine and unboxed example I own. I number every car I bring
into the collection. The previously featured car on this page was number 75, the
newly added one is number 5020, things are surely getting out of hand.
