AERIAL RESCUE TRUCK

Not sure about this one. The tendency towards American lorries in the Corgi range around this time confused me. There were plenty of handsome British trucks around to choose from and this model really fits nowhere into the Corgi range. However it is smart, has lots of features and is a grand piece of model engineering.

This fire truck was added to the range in 1968 and remained in production for twelve years, being deleted in 1980. There are no listed varfiations to the model but early releases in a plain box get a better price than later ones in a window box.

Mine has a couple of the ladders missing and the winch to extend the main ladder is unstrung - but as they say on eBay - it displays well
