OK, OK I know it's not the real one. This is a modern re-make of the 1967 original. It was only £3.20 so it will do for now as a placeholder until I can find the real thing at the right price. Is it true that this car was never a roadster? That it was a hardtop coupe which was chopped for the movie? My Observers Books of Automobiles for 1968 & 69 only mention a coupe and I have a memory somewhere of a photo of the car being chopped for the film. If so then Toyota missed a trick as it works really nicely as a ragtop.
