This one
replaced the good old Massey 65 which had been around doing sterling service
since 1959. It is fortunately typical of Corgi at their peak. The detail is
superb, down to the detail on the engine, the dials on the dash, the decals -
everything is excellent. Then as was their wont Corgi went the extra mile and
looked for a special feature. This time they came up with the idea of making a
noise like a diesel engine by putting a clacker on the front axle.
The
tractor was added to the range in July 1967 and remained in the range until
1972. It was also made with a fore-end loader which can be a bucket or a fork,
it is also found with a side-mounted hedge-cutter. |
