I had
one of these in my Christmas stocking when I was nine and it remained a
favourite toy for the rest of my childhood despite the engine cover breaking off
- I still have it somewhere. It's not actually that good a replica of the real
thing though - the lights are wrong and the balance & shape of the vehicle do
not really work. Look up some photos on Google and see what I mean, but be
honest, how many Ferraris de we see every day? As a Corgi toy it works very well
though and I've always had a soft spot for it.
Corgi
released the model in 1965 and it remained in the range until 1972. It was
produced and sold in very large quantities and with no recorded variations,
which as ever means prices are a little more modest. |
