Yet
another fine Classic model, the 1910 Daimler 38HP. This car was also modelled by
Matchbox Models of Yesteryear and I think Corgi come out on top making a much
better job of it. It is referred to in the Great Book of Corgi as having working
tip-up seats, which is actually wrong - it never had this feature.
The
Corgi Daimler was released in July 1964 and remained in production until 1969.
It is always a sort of orangey-red with yellow wheels and chassis. There should
be a driver figure, a girl in the front passenger seat and a man and woman in
the back. Like all the Corgi Classics range values are modest, too low in my
opinion, and there are no listed variations. |
