What a fine set of very smart racing cars. This is a re-release of Gift Set 5. all these cars had been re-visited and has new decals, new paint colours, drivers added and in the case of the Vanwall & the BRM having had suspension added. The Lotus did not have room for suspension, so it didn't get an 's' suffix but an 'a'. On the later Lotus the windscreen fixes with round fixings at the rear edge of the windscreen, the earlier release has flat fixings.
This set continued for another year being deleted in 1963. It is scarcer and more highly valued than the earlier release without suspension
