The change between GS1b and GS1c was that the Triumph TR3 is
replaced by the Triumph Herald. Now all the cars are current generation with
die-cast bottoms and detailed interiors, only the Plymouth is a bit out of synch
as it does not have suspension. This does make a very handsome set. I was struck
when doing the photography though just how heavy it is when fully loaded. If
this were to roll off the dining room table and to land on a little lad's foot
it would hurt!
GS1c was released in November 1961 in time for the Christmas
trade. It remained in the range in this form until GS28 arrived in December 1962
with the new Bedford TK tractor unit and a new selection of four cars. A
complete and boxed set of this set would be an expensive item to buy. |
