Corgi Cargoes , with the exception of the transport
box for the Massey Ferguson tractor,
were
all made in standard sizes to fit the load beds
of Corgi commercial vehicles - in particular the Commer & ERF lorries, both
flatbed and dropside variants and the two four-wheel trailers; numbers 100 and
102. Of course all the flat bodies shared the same casting and all the dropsides
shared another casting which enabled the development of this range which added
heaps to the play value.
I saved up my own pocket money and bought a plank
load back in the 60s which I know is lurking in my garage somewhere.
