This is Corgi getting well into the mainstream of US barges, a typical turn
of the Sixties family station wagon, finely modelled too - I particularly like
the fine line on the front door glazing to represent quarter lights. It also
represents Corgi providing seats as a matter of course - no suspension yet
though, that was to come first in a couple of months time on the Renault Floride
and not until 1963 on this model.
The Plymouth Sports Suburban was released with detailed interior and
no suspension in 1959, this car is always brown over cream with red
seats. In 1963 it had suspension added and was recoloured red over blue,
model number 445. There is also a US Mail version also released in 1963,
model number 443.
