Another iconic US motor from the fifties in a model that lasted Corgi well into then next decade in a variety of guises - this was the first and it's a nice piece of modelling too. It is the 'Mechanical' version - with the friction motor built in. These were never really a success and were very quickly withdrawn.

According to the Great Book of Corgi the mechanical version was always black over pink and the freewheeling version was cream over pale green. Ramsay has some cross over suggesting both versions are available in both colours. If this is the case they quote black over pink as the more highly valued item
