Another outing for the old Bedford S type 'Big Bedford' cab unit this time with a tanker trailer in 'Mobilgas' livery. This trailer was to survive the switch to the TK cab and to appear as a milk tanker and later as a military fuel tanker. It's a nice piece of Fifties US-influenced styling.
Mine is OK-ish. It is original and un-messed with apart from the tyres which were contemporary but the wrong sizes when I got it and when I took these pictures. I've since replaced them with new ones in the correct size. Playwear is acceptable - I won't be looking to replace this one.
The blue and white model below belongs to a Dutch collector, Mark Riemeijer, it is a special model made for export to the Netherlands. Mark is a lucky man this is not only a fine example of a rare version of the tanker - it is also very valuable.
