Another outing for the old Bedford S type 'Big Bedford' cab unit this time
with a tanker trailer in 'Mobilgas' livery. This trailer was to survive the
switch to the TK cab and to appear as a milk tanker and later as a military fuel
tanker right into the late sixties. It's a nice piece of Fifties US-influenced styling.
The Big Bedford petrol tanker was released in 1959
and remained in the range until the tractor unit was replaced by the TK in 1965.
The one to look out for is a blue and white Dutch export model in Shell Benzeen
livery, they are spectacularly valuable.
