I'm quite proud of myself getting this huge gift set together, just the thing for the boy who wants to precipitate the Suez Crisis or to respond to the global threat from the USSR. In addition to all this cold war hardware Corgi were producing the Corporal Missile system too. Three different ballistic missile systems in one toy range. I suppose it was only 14 years after the end of the Second World War and we were still a heavily armed nation, conscription was still a fact of life and the military was a lot more relevant to boys lives then.

I haven't yet got a Corporal rocket, launcher or transporter vehicle, they are hard to find and expensive, however I still want to add a piece of James Bond trivia here - the bomb in Goldfinger (the book) was a warhead from a Corporal Missile - not a lot of people know that.
