Gift Set 5 put together all the racing cars in the Corgi range. There were two Formula 1 cars - The Vanwall and the BRM and a Le Mans winning Lotus. The Lotus XI. I saw one of these Lotuses racing at a classic car event in Angouleme in September 2006 and it was very disappointing, it just trundled around at the back of the pack. Mind you I think the owner was taking more care of his polished alloy bodywork than getting a place in the race.
This group has been put together from my collection. I'm pretty sure the BRM is right in green and I'm guessing the Vanwall is right too in red. It's also easy to be sure that these are the pre-revamp versions as they do not have suspension. However the Lotus is harder to place as neither the early or late versions had suspension.
