There were a lot of firsts in 1958 and no shortage of them here - the first track racing sportster, the first Lotus, the first with moulded headlamps. Real nice model too.
Now, is it OK for this one not to have decals? I think it is, I don't think they all had decals. It had a big medallion thing on the bonnet when I bought it which was completely wrong and came off very easily when soaked. This one might be an 'S' model from later in the production run. The windscreen is fixed with round pegs at the ends, early ones had slots. I might get a driver and some decals to make it definitely an S.
