A bit of an oddity this one - fitting no category or theme within the Corgi
range. It raises and lowers and helps you keep your Corgis serviced and
roadworthy.
The mechanism is complex and does not transmit the movement from the lever
that well, There is a ratchet arrangement which is supposed to transform a back
and forth movement of the lever into a scissor jack which lifts the ramp. van
Cleemput says that it only got into the range after a boardroom fight and one
can see why, the scale is wrong, the engineering is poor and it is not related
to anything else Corgi were doing at the time.
The Service Ramp was released in
April 1958 and deleted in 1961, there are no listed variations.
