| There is a confusing mass of these Bedford CA fire vans, but I think
I've got my head round it. There are three 'Fire Engines'. The green one
(405) is the original casting (split screen, smooth roof) without a
friction motor. There is a contemporary of 405 in red with 'Fire Dept'
logos (405M) which is the same casting with a friction motor. No 423 is
the later casting (one piece windscreen & moulded roof) in red with
'Fire Dept' logos and no friction motor. My model is missing its ladder but is otherwise nice with some Corgi Accessory stickers which I always think shows someone loved this van a long time ago. |
